PORTAITS/GROUP PHOTOS:
- lower aperture
- shoot from about, rather than below - is more flattering
- more zoom, and a smaller aperture
- longer lense is more flattering (more zoom)
- don't cut out people at a joint. (elbows, hips, knees)
- have body diagnal, with weight on back leg, again also more slimming
- different levels
- don't link arms behind each other, or have arms around each others shoulders. makes them look armless, and awkward
- don't wear white shoes, or any white if possible, distracting
- don't wear printed clothing
- wear trending colors, or even earthy and simple colors at best
LIGHTING:
- its actually best to not take pictures in the day time, especially not in summer, because the lighting is so direct.
- direct lighting casts hard shadows on the people, makes them look unflattering.
- find solid shade (not wear the sun can peak through and make more award lighting patches on the people)
SETTINGS:
- AV - lets you set your aperture, but picks the shutter speed.
IDEAS:
- benches, blankets
